Greek yogurt parfait

Quick healthy Snack

 

How about a refreshing Greek yogurt parfait?

Ingredients:

  • Greek yogurt (plain or flavored, your choice)
  • Fresh berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • Granola
  • Honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a glass or bowl, start by layering Greek yogurt at the bottom.
  2. Add a layer of fresh berries on top of the yogurt.
  3. Sprinkle a layer of granola over the berries.
  4. Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the glass or bowl.
  5. If desired, drizzle a little honey over the top for added sweetness.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious and nutritious Greek yogurt parfait!

Energy Balls

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup nut butter (peanut, almond, or cashew)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips or raisins
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, honey or maple syrup, chocolate chips or raisins, chia seeds or flaxseeds, shredded coconut (if using), vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more honey or nut butter; if it's too wet, add more oats.
  3. Use a tablespoon to scoop the mixture and roll it into small balls.
  4. Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.
  6. Store the energy balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

New Snack Appetizer-Stuffed Mushroom Caps With Smoked Salmon

Welcome to Healthy Snacks

So my girlfriend made me a snack for me last night and put it in the fridge for me to heat up today

she took mushroom caps and stuffed them with goodness and flavor. Thanks honey!!

I just had to put it on the site it was so delicious.

          recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 15 large mushroom caps[brown is what we use, but white will do too]
  • 1/4 cup hard cream cheese
  • 1/2 can drained smoked salmon[small can]
  • 2 Tablespoons chives[we use garlic chives from our garden]
  • 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic

Instructions:


  1. warm cream cheese close to room temperature
  2. mix all ingredients together and stuff the mushroom caps
  3. grate a little cheese on top

Bake

  • on a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes
  • I put the broiler on for a couple of minutes to brown the top
  • let cool for a few minutes[it will be hot]
  • enjoy
